Overview

A rebate program that provides up to $1,000 towards the cost of eligible workplace health and safety items for small business owners in NSW. The rebate helps businesses purchase safety solutions to manage or eliminate hazards and risks that may cause serious injury, illness or death at work. Eligible items include safety equipment and, as of August 2025, agricultural drones used in primary producing farming operations.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be small business owners or sole traders with an ABN employing 0-50 full-time equivalent workers (charities/not-for-profits must employ 1-50 workers). Businesses must have been operating for at least 6 months, be registered/operating in NSW, and have not received this rebate in the past five years. Applicants must complete an eligible SafeWork NSW education activity within 12 months prior to applying and purchase eligible safety items within 12 months of application.
