Overview

This program supports SA commercial fisheries and aquaculture licence holders impacted by the algal bloom to invest in improving business resilience. Funding may be used for equipment purchases, upgrades, training, research and development, consultant payments, and algal bloom clean-up or repair costs.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be SA commercial fisheries or aquaculture licence holders impacted by the algal bloom and have received assistance under the Algal Bloom Fisheries and Aquaculture Assistance Grant or had licence fees waived. Businesses must have an active ABN since 1 January 2025, be GST registered, demonstrate minimum turnover of $75,000 in FY 2023-24 or 2024-25, have grouped payroll not exceeding $10 million, and derive at least 75% of turnover from commercial fisheries or aquaculture activities.
