Overview

The DECRA scheme provides focused research support for early career researchers in both teaching and research, and research-only positions. It funds three-year research projects with salary and on-costs for the researcher, plus up to $50,000 per year in project costs. Funding supports personnel, equipment, field research, travel, and dissemination of research outputs.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be outstanding early-career researchers with demonstrated capacity for high-quality research and emerging capability for leadership and supervision. Eligible for researchers in both teaching and research, and research-only positions.
