Overview

Innovation Connections provided advice and funding to support research projects in businesses. The program paired businesses with independent facilitators who developed roadmaps and recommendations, then provided grants reimbursing up to 50% of researcher placement costs (up to $50,000 per placement type) to help implement research projects with commercial potential.

Eligibility Requirements

Businesses must have an ABN, be GST-registered, be a company incorporated in Australia or incorporated trustee, have annual turnover between $1.5-$100 million ($750,000-$100 million if in remote/northern Australia), have operated in Australia for at least 3 consecutive years, and operate in or support one of Australia's growth sectors (advanced manufacturing, food and agribusiness, medical technologies, mining equipment/services, oil/gas/energy, or related support services).
