Preparing Australian Communities - Local Stream
Overview
This program provides locally identified and locally led projects with funding to improve the resilience of communities against natural hazards including bushfires, floods, and tropical cyclones. Projects must be aimed at reducing risk and improving community resilience through activities in planning, awareness and capacity, or infrastructure.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be an eligible entity with an ABN, including incorporated associations, not-for-profit organisations, local government bodies, Aboriginal corporations, and Regional Development Australia Committees. Projects must have at least $20,000 in eligible expenditure and be completed by 31 March 2025. Infrastructure projects of $100,000 or more require 50% cash or in-kind contribution.
