Overview

This grant provides funding to regional airports and aerodromes to enhance aviation safety and accessibility. Projects supported include improving aircraft safety, facilitating delivery of essential goods and services, improving regional connectivity, and meeting operational requirements for aeromedical and emergency services.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be owners and operators of airports or aerodromes in regional areas of Australia. Grants cover up to 50% of eligible project costs (or 33.3% if co-funded with third parties including government or non-government organizations).

Regional and Remote Airport Support Program

A total of $5 million will be available over 2025-26 for the Regional and Remote Airport Support Program (the program). The program will provide financial relief to operators of regional and remote airports that were owed money by the Rex Airlines regional business when it entered voluntary administration. This includes: Regional Express Holdings Limited (ACN 099 547 270) Regional Express Pty Ltd (ACN 101 325 642) Rex Investment Holdings Pty Ltd (ACN 101 317 677). The intended outcomes of the program are to: support critical aviation services to connect remote and regional communities across Australia support local governments in regional and remote areas to maintain essential services. Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) Program - Phase 4

Funding under Phase 4 of the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) Program is available from 1 July 2023 to support Eligible Funding Recipients to deliver priority local road and community infrastructure projects across Australia. LRCI Phase 4 continues the objective of the program to provide temporary, targeted support for creating and maintaining local jobs through road infrastructure and construction activities in communities across Australia. The intended outcomes of the program are to: deliver benefits to communities, such as improved road safety, accessibility and visual amenity; and create local short-term employment opportunities through funding construction projects Eligibility: Eligible Funding Recipients for Phase 4 are the same as for Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3 of the LRCI Program.
