Overview

The Regional Microgrids Program provides up to $125 million to develop and deploy renewable energy microgrids across regional Australia through two streams: Stream A funds innovation in distributed renewable energy technology and improved electricity resilience in regional areas, while Stream B supports cleaner, more reliable energy and community empowerment in First Nations communities.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must submit a project plan, conflict of interest declaration, and project budget template at the Expression of Interest stage. Applicants seeking grant amounts outside expected ranges must demonstrate exemplary merit with very broad industry benefit.
