Overview

This program provides funding to Queensland small businesses significantly impacted by crime to implement safety and security measures. Eligible projects include alarm systems, access control, surveillance, lighting, and physical security improvements aimed at reducing the cost and impact of crime.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be QLD-based small businesses with fewer than 20 employees and turnover of $10 million or less, have been directly impacted by crime in the past 5 years or operate within 250m of crime-affected premises, have an active ABN, minimum one year trading history, be GST-registered, and have been significantly impacted by crime in the past 3 years.

Afghanistan Inquiry Legal Assistance Scheme

The Afghanistan Inquiry Legal Assistance Scheme funds the reasonable costs of legal representation for current and former serving Australian Defence Force members who are the subject of, or participating in, criminal investigations and prosecutions relating to matters arising from the Afghanistan Inquiry. This includes advice for the purposes of participating in Australian Federal Police (AFP)/Office of Special investigator (OSI) investigations, defending charges and giving evidence in Court if criminal proceedings are brought in relation to those matters.
