Eligible events include state or national sporting events, state or national festivals, and events of regional significance that are advertised to the public and expected to attract 300 or more attendees. Covers operating expenses including venue hire, contractors, security, equipment hire, staging and toilet hire. Total grant pool of $80,000 allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Provides funding for the planning and delivery of small to medium scale events in the Hobart local government area that provide benefits to both the local and wider community. Supports events that enhance community identity, encourage accessibility and participation, support and enhance the cultural life of Hobart, celebrate cultural diversity, deliver economic benefits through increased visitation, and enhance Hobart's reputation as a tourist destination. For events commencing 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027.
The AEEF supports new and existing ACT Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations to build organisational capacity and capability to improve outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across Canberra. Funding is available across four tiers (Start Up, Establishment, Development, and Growth) to support establishment, capacity and capability building activities that benefit ACCOs.
Supports community-led activities that develop solutions to climate change and sustainability issues in Hobart. Eligible activities include increasing resource recovery, reducing waste to landfill, promoting energy efficiency initiatives, addressing air and water quality improvements, supporting sustainable community food gardens and local biodiversity projects, and academic or community research into sustainability topics. Available to schools, community groups and businesses.
This grant funds community-led activities and initiatives that prevent and reduce gambling harm in the ACT community. Projects can include community development programs, public health information activities, counselling services, education and awareness campaigns, and research about gambling harm. All projects must provide benefit to ACT residents and be completed within 12 months.
Provides support to activities that involve, engage and benefit the Hobart community. Funds projects and events that foster opportunities for access and participation, and respond to community issues and concerns. The YEGP offers grants to community groups and organisations for events and projects that promote positive and meaningful pathways for Territorians aged 12 to 25. Funding can be used for drug and alcohol-free entertainment, personal development opportunities, and leadership programs.
Supports community-hosted activities and experiences that celebrate positive ageing in the City of Greater Geelong, such as workshops, dances, concerts, sporting activities, digital learning, art and craft and cultural experiences for people aged 55 and over. Activities must be available for free or at low cost to all participants. Total grant pool of $24,000 for 2026–27.
Provides rapid funding to activities that enhance community identity, encourage accessibility, celebrate the cultural life of Hobart, and create opportunities for participation within the city. Open all year round on a rolling basis until the funding pool is exhausted. Activities must start no sooner than one month and no later than six months after the application submission date.
Assists the Hobart community by waiving fees and charges for City of Hobart-owned event equipment, venues, banners, signage or lighting. Provides in-kind support of up to $1,000 value for events and activities that benefit the community. Applications processed on a rolling basis until the funding pool is exhausted.
This grant provides $190 million over four years (2022-23 to 2025-26) to support Community Sector Organisations (CSOs) already receiving Indigenous Advancement Strategy funding. The funding addresses wage pressures and inflation impacts on eligible organisations delivering community services. Funding amounts are based on existing IAS agreement duration, a percentage of current IAS funding, and service delivery location, with higher supplementation for remote and very remote areas.
