Overview

This grant supports programs of small-scale, health service-focused research projects conducted in health service settings by collaborations of health services and research organisations. It aims to stimulate health services research to improve health outcomes by increasing collaboration and building research and translation capacity in the health services sector. Funding supports research projects identified as important by health services and their communities, and partnerships that foster collaboration between researchers, health service providers, and end users including consumers and community.

Eligibility Requirements

Applications must include at least one research organisation and one health service provider with a proven track record in co-design and research. For Stream 2 (Regional/rural/remote), the Chief Investigator and at least 50% of the CI team should be primarily resident in a regional, rural or remote area (MM2-7). Applications addressing health services for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged.

Blood Borne Viruses (BBV) and Sexually Transmissible Infections (STI) Research Program

This grant program is delivered, in part, through the collection of data, ongoing surveillance, and pertinent research and evaluation activities related to the BBV and STI outlined in the National BBV and STI Strategies, namely: National Hepatitis B Strategy National Hepatitis C Strategy National STI Strategy National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander BBV and STI Strategy National HIV Strategy. Closing the Gap Outcomes and Evidence Fund – Logan Service Delivery Agreement

A program inviting First Nations people, organisations and communities to co-design, trial and evaluate projects aimed at contributing to Closing the Gap Targets 12 (out-of-home care) and 13 (family violence). The Fund supports trial projects with evaluation to improve the evidence base for the Australian Government and First Nations people, with projects running until 30 June 2026.
