Overview

This program provides funding to local councils, chambers of commerce and other industry and business stakeholder groups to work with their small business communities to enhance individual business resilience during and after natural disasters. It supports small businesses impacted by Tropical Cyclone Jasper and the 2023–2024 South East Queensland severe storms and rainfall event.

Eligibility Requirements

Small and family business owners based in impacted local government areas in Far North Queensland (Tropical Cyclone Jasper) or South East Queensland (severe storms and rainfall). Funding is provided to local councils, chambers of commerce and industry/business stakeholder groups to deliver support activities.

Regional Development Australia Committees (RDA) program

The RDA program is a national network of 50 Committees, including the Indian Ocean Territories Regional Development Organisation (collectively referred to in this document as RDAs). RDAs are made up of volunteer local leaders who work with all levels of government, business and community groups to support economic development in their regions. Eligibility: Only RDAs are eligible for funding under the program.
