Overview

This grant provides financial support to small and family businesses in defined disaster areas significantly disrupted by the Western Queensland Surface Trough weather event (21 March to 19 May 2025) to re-establish operations and maintain employment. Funding covers extraordinary costs related to recovery including salaries, rent, stock replacement, professional services, and marketing expenses.

Eligibility Requirements

Businesses must have fewer than 20 employees, annual turnover under $10 million, active ABN and GST registration, be located in specified Western Queensland local government areas, and demonstrate either complete trading cessation or at least 60% revenue reduction for a consecutive 14-day period due to the disaster.
