Overview

The Employment Assistance Fund provides workers with a disability or mental health condition with funding for workplace modifications, equipment, and services needed to perform their job. It supports people about to start work, currently employed, self-employed, or jobseekers preparing for employment.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicant must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident with an ongoing disability lasting or expected to last at least two years that limits work ability. Must be currently in a job expected to continue 13+ weeks (working 8+ hours/week, or 20+ hours/week if self-employed), or be a jobseeker requiring Auslan assistance or work-related assistive technology.

This program provides incentive payments to employers who hire workers with work-related injuries or illnesses who cannot return to their pre-injury employer. REAL Innovation Fund

The REAL Innovation Fund is a targeted, competitive grant opportunity that will support the delivery of small-scale, culturally appropriate, trauma-informed, community led, innovative projects that build pathways to stable and culturally safe employment opportunities for First Nations people who have been in the justice system. Remote Jobs and Economic Development Program

The RJED Program seeks to fund 3,000 new jobs over 3 years to support job seekers currently participating in or that are eligible for Remote Australia Employment Services (RAES), to move into employment. There are two streams of funding available, Job Creation – to fund the cost of wages and related entitlements, and the Community Jobs and Business Fund (CJBF) – to provide funding for equipment, operational costs and infrastructure to directly support bringing jobs created under the Job Creation stream into existence. For the purposes of the RJED program, a new job is: •a job which does not already exist within an organisation and does not displace an existing employee, or •a job created in a RAES Community Project.
