Overview

This grant opportunity aims to deliver health workforce training to ensure inclusive, culturally safe healthcare for LGBTIQA+ people in Australia and establish a network of accredited primary care providers. It funds evidence-based, patient-centred training programs that reduce financial barriers for primary care providers to develop competency in LGBTIQA+-affirming care and improve health outcomes for LGBTIQA+ individuals.

Eligibility Requirements

Eligible entity types include companies, cooperatives, Indigenous corporations, incorporated associations, corporate state or territory entities, partnerships, and statutory entities. Universities with eligible entity types may also apply. Consortia applications are encouraged with a single lead organisation that is solely accountable to the Commonwealth.

Blood Borne Viruses (BBV) and Sexually Transmissible Infections (STI) Research Program

This grant program is delivered, in part, through the collection of data, ongoing surveillance, and pertinent research and evaluation activities related to the BBV and STI outlined in the National BBV and STI Strategies, namely: National Hepatitis B Strategy National Hepatitis C Strategy National STI Strategy National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander BBV and STI Strategy National HIV Strategy. The Department’s First National BBV and STI Research Strategy 2021-2025 and its future iterations (the National BBV and STI Research Strategy), sets out the aims and objectives for the multi-disciplinary research activities undertaken within Australia and supports the implementation of the related National BBV and STI Strategies. Closing the Gap Outcomes and Evidence Fund – Logan Service Delivery Agreement

A program inviting First Nations people, organisations and communities to co-design, trial and evaluate projects aimed at contributing to Closing the Gap Targets 12 (out-of-home care) and 13 (family violence).
