Overview

Major Project Status provides strategically significant projects facing complex regulatory challenges with a single entry point for Australian Government approvals, project support, and coordination. The program offers help navigating complex regulatory approvals and engaging state and territory facilitation agencies. Projects receive support from the Major Projects Facilitation Agency (MPFA) for typically 3 years to complete the approvals process.

Eligibility Requirements

Projects must have an estimated investment over $50 million, be of strategic significance to Australia contributing to economic growth or regional development, face complex Australian Government regulatory approval challenges, and demonstrate sufficient financial resources and commercial viability.

Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) Program - Phase 4

Funding under Phase 4 of the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) Program is available from 1 July 2023 to support Eligible Funding Recipients to deliver priority local road and community infrastructure projects across Australia. DRIVEN Charger Rebate Stream

Through the DRIVEN Program, the Australian Government will provide $60 million to fund the purchase and installation of EV charging units at automotive dealerships and EV repairers across Australia. The program will run over 4 years from 2024-25 to 2027-28. The program was announced as part of the Driving the Nation Fund.
