Overview

Funding available to rural and regional South Australian businesses to cover travel and accommodation costs associated with hiring and training apprentices or trainees. Allowances cover intrastate travel at 30c per kilometre, interstate travel at economy airfare rates, and daily accommodation costs ranging from $60 (intrastate) to $110 (interstate).

Eligibility Requirements

Employer must employ an apprentice or trainee with an approved Training Contract registered in South Australia, where the trainee is required to travel more than 150 km (round trip) to the nearest training venue and resides in a non-metropolitan area of South Australia.
