Overview

The U25-GO grant provides funding to peak Police Citizens' Youth Clubs and peak Blue Light Organisations to deliver crime prevention and drug diversion programs for young people under 25 at risk of entering the criminal justice system. The program aims to provide alternative pathways, promote inclusion, strengthen family support structures, and help young people develop life skills to prevent engagement with the criminal justice system.

Eligibility Requirements

Eligible applicants are state or territory peak Police Citizens' Youth Clubs (PCYC), state or territory peak Blue Light Organisations, or an organisation nominated by the Northern Territory Department of Territory Families, Housing and Communities. The grant covers up to 100% of eligible expenditure.

Safer Communities Fund – Round 6 – Early Intervention Grants

This grant funds organisations with demonstrated experience providing early intervention activities to youth aged 12-24 at high risk of engaging in criminal activity or anti-social behaviour. Projects must include youth engagement activities aimed at crime prevention and help marginalised youth develop life skills including educational and vocational training to prevent criminal justice system involvement and build community resilience.

Linkage Projects

Supports research projects that initiate or develop long-term strategic research alliances between higher education organisations and research end-users (business, industry, community organisations, or publicly funded research agencies). Projects must apply advanced knowledge to problems, acquire new knowledge, and secure commercial or other benefits of research.
