Overview

Supports moderate-sized public events that provide economic and community benefits to the Greater Geelong region, including agricultural shows, community festivals, food and wine festivals, music events, state or national sporting events and multicultural events. Events must be advertised to the public and expected to attract 300 or more attendees. Total grant pool of $200,000 with up to $10,000 per applicant. Note: conferences, expos and business events are not eligible.

Eligibility Requirements

Must be organising an event within the City of Greater Geelong municipality. Open to incorporated NFPs, unincorporated groups with auspice, charities, businesses, sole traders (ABN required) and schools (non-curriculum activities). Events must attract 300+ attendees. Conferences, expos and business events are ineligible. Maximum $10,000. 2025-26 round is closed — check geelongaustralia.com.au/grants for new round dates.

For events commencing 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027.

City Partnership Program — City of Ballarat

Provides multi-year funding (up to 3 years) to organisations and businesses delivering on Ballarat Council Plan goals. Two funding streams: Community Stream (for not-for-profit organisations based in Ballarat, up to $100,000 per year) and Commercial Stream (for businesses and NFPs delivering economic returns, greater than $20,000 per year). Designed for organisations making a significant and sustained contribution to the Ballarat community.
