Overview

The Annual Arts Grants program supports artists and arts organisations to deliver impactful creative outcomes through one-off arts projects that result in a public outcome within the City of Melbourne municipality. Grants of up to $25,000 are available for diverse projects across a wide range of art forms, open to individuals, groups, and small to medium arts organisations.

Eligibility Requirements

Open to individual artists, groups, and small to medium arts organisations. Projects must result in a public outcome and be presented at a venue within City of Melbourne boundaries between 1 January 2027 and 31 December 2027. Projects currently funded by another City of Melbourne program are ineligible.

Multi-year Arts Grants Program 2025-2027

The City of Melbourne's Multi-year Arts Grants Program funds challenging and ambitious ideas that contribute to the creative transformation of Melbourne and encourage participation and activation of the arts. The program provides three-year funding for small, medium and large arts organisations, with grants ranging from $40,000 to $330,000 annually, as well as Awards arts grants up to $25,000 annually for organisations delivering awards programs that benefit local artists.

Indigenous Languages and Arts – Strategic Projects 2025-26

The ILA Program supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders to express, conserve and maintain their cultures through Indigenous languages and arts activities. Funding supports conservation and revitalisation of Indigenous languages, language learning pathways, digital recording of languages, and creation and promotion of Indigenous community-based arts activities including dance, theatre, film, literature, music and traditional crafts.

Active and Creative Kids Voucher

A $50 voucher available twice a year for eligible children to use towards sport, creative and cultural activities such as dance, music, martial arts, gymnastics, drama, and coding. The voucher must be used with a registered activity provider and can be combined with another unexpired voucher for a total value of $100.
