Overview

Funding to assist Aboriginal Territorians and Aboriginal owned businesses and organisations to develop Aboriginal cultural tourism experiences and products. The grants support engagement of professional services for feasibility studies, business planning, and preparing applications to land councils or land management authorities for tourism experiences and products.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be greater than 50% Aboriginal owned, be an Aboriginal owned business or organisation located and operating in the NT, be legally constituted, be Australian registered, and have no outstanding grant acquittals.

This grant program offers up to $480,000 to eligible tourism businesses operating on the Great Barrier Reef to help them prepare for the 'Kids for the Reef' school excursion rebate program. Grants cover up to 50% of the cost of necessary upgrades, checks, or clearances for reef tourism operators to accommodate school groups.
