Overview

This program funds meaningful initiatives in the lead-up to, during, or in support of Reconciliation Day (1 June 2026). Grants support community-organised events that promote understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, celebrate their significance, and deliver opportunities for children, young people, and elders to participate in reconciliation activities.

Eligibility Requirements

Organisations must be non-government, legally incorporated, registered not-for-profit or charitable, with strong connection to ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and no overdue acquittals. Individuals must be over 18, live in ACT or surrounding region, with no overdue acquittals. Priority given to those integrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people into organisational structures and working in culturally appropriate ways.
