Overview

This program provides funding for Canberra artists, groups and organisations to undertake arts activities including creating new work, professional development, mentoring, residencies, and community arts engagement. Activities can span multiple artforms including dance, digital games, literature, music, theatre, visual arts, and arts-based festivals.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must reside in Canberra and can be individual residents, groups based in Canberra, or organisations registered in Canberra. Activities must strongly meet at least one of three strategies: creating amazing art and culture, developing arts/cultural/creative industry practice and facilities, or promoting arts and culture to attract artists and investment.

Discovery Early Career Researcher Award for funding commencing in 2027

The DECRA grant opportunity provides focused research support for early career researchers in both teaching and research, and research-only positions.
