Overview

A $4 million grant program funded through the Commonwealth-state Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) to support tourism businesses impacted by the North Queensland Tropical Low event (29 January to 28 February 2025). The fund provides grants for eligible tourism businesses to build resilience and aid their response to future natural disasters through innovative infrastructure solutions such as solar systems, battery storage, generators, and flood/cyclone resistant improvements.

Eligibility Requirements

Eligible applicants must be tourism businesses located in areas impacted by the North Queensland Tropical Low event from 29 January to 28 February 2025. Businesses must demonstrate how the proposed infrastructure improvements will build resilience to future natural disaster events.
