Overview

Funding for event organisers to conduct competitive sporting or gaming events that attract interstate visitors and supporters to Tasmania. Events should encourage visitors to undertake further travel around the state during their stay.

Eligibility Requirements

Event must attract more than 100 people from outside Tasmania likely to stay 3+ nights in paid commercial accommodation and promote pre- and post-championship holidays and regional touring. Applicants can be based anywhere in Australia and must be able to enter into a funding agreement with the Tasmanian government. Applications must be lodged at least 3 months prior to event commencement.
