Overview

This program provides funding for programs which build business expertise and community capability, as well as progressing opportunities for diversification. Two streams are available: Stream 1 funds project management support and upskilling of community members, while Stream 2 funds the progression of diversification opportunities identified by local communities.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be a community or industry group including incorporated community organisations, local government authorities, business and industry clusters, non-profit organisations, chambers of commerce, business associations, or education and research organisations. Eligible organisations must operate in or near specified Victorian towns and communities with a Local Development Strategy (Benalla, Noojee, Corrying, Nowa Nowa, Heyfield, Orbost, Koondrook, Swifts Creek, Murrindindi, Yarra Ranges, or Yarram).

Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) Program - Phase 4

Funding under Phase 4 of the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) Program is available from 1 July 2023 to support Eligible Funding Recipients to deliver priority local road and community infrastructure projects across Australia. LRCI Phase 4 continues the objective of the program to provide temporary, targeted support for creating and maintaining local jobs through road infrastructure and construction activities in communities across Australia. The intended outcomes of the program are to: deliver benefits to communities, such as improved road safety, accessibility and visual amenity; and create local short-term employment opportunities through funding construction projects Eligibility: Eligible Funding Recipients for Phase 4 are the same as for Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3 of the LRCI Program. Agency Collaborates – Community Initiated

This grant funds proposals that address identified needs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, developed in collaboration with the target community or group. It provides a funding avenue for community-identified needs where no other current funding is available. Applicants must first discuss their proposal with their local NIAA Regional Office before being invited to submit an application.
