Disaster Assistance Loans – North QLD Monsoon Trough (Primary Producers)
Overview
This program provides low-interest loans of up to $2 million to Queensland primary producers whose assets have been significantly damaged by the North QLD monsoon trough, associated Cyclone Koji and severe weather commencing 24 December 2025. Loans can be used to repair or replace damaged plant, equipment, farm buildings, livestock, and meet carry-on requirements over a maximum term of 10 years.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be Queensland primary producers who sustained substantial damage to buildings, plant, equipment or stock from the eligible disaster, have a property in a defined disaster area, provide adequate security, demonstrate ongoing viability of the enterprise, and have taken reasonable precautions such as adequate insurance.
