Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) Worker Retention Payment
Overview
This program provides worker retention payments to ECEC service providers to help increase their workers' wages. Funding covers a 10% wage increase in the first year, an additional 5% in the second year, and a minimum of 20% funding for eligible on-costs. The payment runs for 2 years from 2 December 2024 to 30 November 2026.
Eligibility Requirements
Providers must be approved for Child Care Subsidy (CCS), operate Centre Based Day Care (CBDC) or Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) services, engage workers through a workplace instrument meeting grant conditions, limit fee growth by a set percentage from August 2024, and agree to pass funding to eligible workers through increased wages.
