Overview

A $43 million program under the Sport Infrastructure Recovery Fund to help communities repair, reconstruct, and build flood resilience into sport facilities damaged by NSW severe weather storms and flooding from February 2022 onwards. Funding supports the return of sport activities and upgrades facilities to be more resilient to future extreme climate events.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be from Australian Government declared natural disaster LGAs (74 eligible councils listed). Stream one: councils and joint organisations from eligible LGAs. Stream two: NSW State Sporting Organisations, incorporated not-for-profit sporting clubs/associations, community sport program providers, or private enterprises. Projects must be for repair/restoration/betterment of directly damaged community sport facilities with minimum grant requests of $150,000 (Stream one) or $15,000 (Stream two).
