Farm Household Allowance Program
Overview
The Farm Household Allowance Program provides financial assistance to farming families experiencing financial hardship through fortnightly payments for up to 4 years, individual case support with a farm household case officer, and up to $10,000 in activity supplements for skills development, training, and professional advice to improve long-term financial management.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be a farmer or partner of a farmer aged 16+, contribute labour and capital to an Australian farm, meet income and assets tests and residency rules, and have received less than 4 years of FHA in the specific 10-year period. The farm must have significant commercial purpose based on profitability, consistency of activity, and operation as a business.
