Overview

The HyGATE Initiative supports real-world pilot, trial and demonstration projects along the hydrogen supply chain, facilitating collaboration between Australian and German partners. Projects can cover any aspect of renewable hydrogen value chain including generation, processing into derivatives, transport, storage, usage, and commercial/financing models. Australia and Germany have committed up to $50 million and €50 million respectively to establish the initiative.

Eligibility Requirements

Projects must be deployment stage projects related to renewable hydrogen value chain. Projects with direct and substantial involvement of both German and Australian organisations are preferred. Project activities are expected to occur primarily in Australia.
