Growing the Recovery of Organic Waste via Food Organic and Garden Organics (GROW FOGO) Fund
Overview
The GROW FOGO Fund provides support to assist Queensland councils to implement or expand kerbside food organic garden organic (FOGO) collection services. Funding is available for kerbside organics bins, kitchen food organics caddies, bin harmonisation, and education and awareness activities. The fund aims to divert organic waste from landfill and reduce methane emissions while creating economic opportunities through organic material reuse.
Eligibility Requirements
Eligible applicants are Queensland councils. South East Queensland (SEQ) Councils apply through CoMSEQ Waste Portfolio Management Office. R7 Councils and other Queensland Councils apply directly to the department. Funding streams vary by council region and type of service being implemented.
