Overview

City of Melbourne provides funding to support children and young people to participate in community sport and to support elite-level athletes to achieve their sporting goals. The program includes two categories: inclusion support grants for youth facing financial hardship, and individual participation grants for residents competing at elite level in national or international competitions.

Eligibility Requirements

Category 1: Children and young people aged 25 years and younger, residing in City of Melbourne, experiencing financial hardship, with applicants or guardians holding a health care card or pension concession card. Category 2: Residents officially selected by a governing body to compete in chosen sport at elite level. Applications must be received at least 6 weeks prior to event or season commencement.
