Linkage Infrastructure, Equipment and Facilities (LIEF)

Overview

The LIEF scheme provides funding to eligible organisations for research infrastructure, equipment and facilities that can be shared between higher education organisations and industry. Applicants may seek funding for infrastructure and equipment purchases, construction and installation, leasing, consortium membership costs, and specialised computing facilities. The scheme supports excellent pure basic, strategic basic and applied research across all disciplines excluding clinical and medical research.

Eligibility Requirements

Eligible organisations include higher education organisations and industry partners seeking to develop collaborative arrangements for the acquisition and use of research equipment and infrastructure. Applications exclude clinical and other medical research. An application can be submitted once per year.
