Overview

This Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) grant supports medical research and medical innovation projects across three streams: early-stage research led by early career researchers (Incubator), large-scale interdisciplinary programs led by mid-career researchers (Accelerator), and co-funded translation research (Targeted Call). The grants aim to improve health and wellbeing of Australians by supporting innovative solutions and translating research into practice for Priority Populations.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be early to mid-career researchers. Stream 1 (Incubator) is for early career researchers conducting early-stage, small-scale research. Stream 2 (Accelerator) is for mid-career researchers establishing large-scale interdisciplinary programs. Stream 3 (Targeted Call) is for early to mid-career researchers utilizing co-funding.

Blood Borne Viruses (BBV) and Sexually Transmissible Infections (STI) Research Program

This grant program is delivered, in part, through the collection of data, ongoing surveillance, and pertinent research and evaluation activities related to the BBV and STI outlined in the National BBV and STI Strategies, namely: National Hepatitis B Strategy National Hepatitis C Strategy National STI Strategy National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander BBV and STI Strategy National HIV Strategy. Closing the Gap Outcomes and Evidence Fund – Logan Service Delivery Agreement

A program inviting First Nations people, organisations and communities to co-design, trial and evaluate projects aimed at contributing to Closing the Gap Targets 12 (out-of-home care) and 13 (family violence).
