MRFF – 2026 Traumatic Brain Injury Mission Grant Opportunity (GO8208)
Overview
This grant opportunity supports medical research and medical innovation projects focused on traumatic brain injury. Stream 1 funds research testing novel treatments and interventions for moderate to severe traumatic brain injury to reduce acute care time and improve long-term outcomes. Stream 2 supports research on effective national adoption and best practice use of clinical guidelines for mild traumatic brain injury, including addressing implementation barriers and inequalities across diverse populations.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be MRFF Eligible Organisations. Research must address either Stream 1 (moderate to severe TBI treatments and interventions) or Stream 2 (mild TBI clinical guidelines adoption with focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, family/domestic/sexual violence-affected individuals, older people, rural/regional/remote populations, and culturally and linguistically diverse populations).
