Overview

Needs-based funding provided to Western Australian primary producers to help them recover from eligible declared natural disasters. Funding may be used for professional advice, freight costs, restoration of fencing, and other disaster-specific recovery measures.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must operate a commercial-scale farming, pastoral, horticultural or fishing business affected by a declared natural disaster, have been operating for at least 1 year, be registered with the ATO as a primary producer with an ABN, own or have a minimum 5-year agreement for the land, devote at least 75% labour to the enterprise, and generate at least 50% of business income from the affected enterprise. Applications must be made within 6 months of the declared disaster.
