Overview

The NNSIDI supports the creation of new and innovative seed production enterprises throughout the Pilbara, Goldfields Esperance, and the Kimberley regions. Funded by $4.4 million, the initiative establishes Seed Production Area (SPA) trial sites that serve as models for future SPAs, providing training and building long-term business capacity. The program prioritizes Aboriginal-operated SPAs established on country and aims to create sustainable jobs while meeting mining companies' native seed requirements for post-closure revegetation.
