Overview

Partnership Projects will support collaborations, within the Australian context, that translate research evidence into health policy and health practice, to improve health services and processes. The objectives of the Partnership Project scheme are to: • Meet the need for more effective integration of research evidence into health policy and service delivery • Create partnerships among policy makers, managers, service providers and researchers • Provide support to answer often complex and difficult questions that policy makers, managers and service providers face when making decisions and implementing policies that affect Australians’ health and health care • Be highly responsive to the priorities of government, the community and health professionals • Enable applicants to apply for funding at any time during the year to allow researchers and Partner Organisations to develop timely collaborations. Blood Borne Viruses (BBV) and Sexually Transmissible Infections (STI) Research Program

This grant program is delivered, in part, through the collection of data, ongoing surveillance, and pertinent research and evaluation activities related to the BBV and STI outlined in the National BBV and STI Strategies, namely: National Hepatitis B Strategy National Hepatitis C Strategy National STI Strategy National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander BBV and STI Strategy National HIV Strategy. The Department’s First National BBV and STI Research Strategy 2021-2025 and its future iterations (the National BBV and STI Research Strategy), sets out the aims and objectives for the multi-disciplinary research activities undertaken within Australia and supports the implementation of the related National BBV and STI Strategies. MRFF - EPCDRI - 2025 Childhood Mental Health Research Grant Opportunity

The Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) Emerging Priorities and Consumer-Driven Research initiative aims to enable or support research that improves patient care and translation of new discoveries, and encourage collaboration between consumers and researchers. Funding from this Initiative will support the development of new diagnoses, treatments and cures, and the translation of new discoveries into clinical practice. Three topics of funding are available based on the primary focus of the research or the geographic location of the organisation undertaking the majority of the research. MRFF 2022 Frontier Health and Medical Research Grant Opportunity

This grant opportunity offers funding to support medical research and medical innovation programs of research that deliver a ‘moonshot’ by creating a treatment for a currently serious and incurable health condition, through a series of linked projects. The program of research can propose to develop novel health technologies and/or re-purpose existing health technologies in a novel way. The process to get funding has 2 stages: expression of interest – outlining a proposed program of research with a 10-year time horizon full application, for a project of up to 5 years under the program of research. Full applications may be submitted by invitation only. Applicants may propose to start research at any stage in the research pipeline from proof-of-concept, with the intention of achieving full implementation of the proposed technology in 10 years. Funding for subsequent projects under the program of research that continue to progress the technology towards full implementation can be sought by
