Powering the Regions Industrial Transformation Stream
Overview
The Industrial Transformation Stream supports the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions at existing industrial facilities in regional Australia. It funds a range of industrial decarbonisation solutions including electrification, energy efficiency, low emissions processing, fuel switching, energy storage, demand management, and critical infrastructure. The program supports projects ranging from feasibility studies and front-end engineering design to trials, demonstrations, and deployment.
Eligibility Requirements
Projects must be at existing industrial facilities in regional Australia and support reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in line with Australia's 2030 emissions reduction goals and net zero 2050 transition. Projects must align with active ITS Focus Areas (Innovation in industrial decarbonisation and Advancing commercial deployment in Round 3) and meet low emissions project criteria defined in Program Guidelines.
