Remote Communities Freight Assistance Scheme QLD
Overview
This program provides freight discounts and reimbursements to eligible businesses located in remote Queensland communities to reduce freight costs passed onto consumers. It offers three types of assistance: Establishment Assistance (one-off reimbursement for setup costs), Discount Assistance (monthly reimbursement for discount shortfalls), and Compliance Assistance (monthly reimbursement for compliance costs).
Eligibility Requirements
Business must be located in an eligible remote QLD local government area. Retail sales of eligible essential goods must account for at least 15% of revenue (for fuel retailers) or at least 50% of revenue (for other retailers) during the most recently ended financial year.
