Overview

A rebate program to assist South Australian schools, tertiary institutions and colleges with the costs of electronic identification (eID) scanning equipment for sheep and goats. Applicants can receive 75% rebate on eligible stick or wand readers to support recording of individual animal movements on the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) database.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be a school, tertiary institution or college based in South Australia with an active agriculture program including livestock management (sheep or goat), an active SA producer PIC, and an active NLIS database user account. Equipment must be purchased on or after 8 June 2023 and only stick or wand readers are eligible.
