Social Housing Energy Performance Initiative (SHEPI)
Overview
SHEPI is funding energy upgrades to social housing properties to reduce energy bills and improve residents' quality of life. Upgrades include thermal shell improvements, efficient electric appliances, and solar systems. The Australian Government is investing $800 million to co-fund the $1.1 billion program in partnership with all state and territory governments, with the initiative expected to reach more than 100,000 social housing properties.
