STEM Student Competition Sponsorship Program 2026
Overview
This program supports NSW university students participating in high-tech, high-impact STEM research competitions that align with NSW strategic priorities. Funding covers research components of eligible competitions including lab consumables, research materials, and outreach activities. The program aims to develop essential skills, foster collaboration, and increase participation in STEM fields.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be enrolled or employed at a NSW university or public sector research institution and participating in a STEM research competition in one of four categories: mathematical/computing sciences, physical/chemical/earth sciences, engineering/environmental sciences/energy, or biological/biotechnological sciences. Projects must run between June 2026 and December 2026, and applicants must provide proof of competition registration or prior written OCSE approval.
