The TFES helps Tasmanian businesses and individuals offset the higher cost of shipping goods by sea across Bass Strait. It provides financial assistance for eligible non-bulk goods transported northbound, southbound, or to/from King and Flinders Islands, enabling Tasmanian producers to compete fairly with mainland businesses.
