Tour Guide Training Support 2025/26
Overview
Tourism NT provides funding to NT-based tour operators to train new or upskill existing tour guides. The program reimburses applicants for pre-approved training components upon completion, with up to $5,000 available per applicant. Training includes first aid, heavy vehicle licenses, maritime operations, 4WD operation, tour guide certifications, and language classes.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be NT-based tour operators conducting tours in the Northern Territory. Entrants employed by applicants conducting tours in Uluru-Kata Tjuta or Kakadu National Parks must complete either VTP490 or VTP489 accreditations. All approved training must be completed by 30 April 2026.
