Overview

This program provides financial assistance to Western Australian defence sector businesses to help them employ apprentices in approved trades. Eligible employers receive incentive payments of up to $20,000 for each apprentice trained in one of four specified engineering and electrotechnology trades.

Eligibility Requirements

Employers must be WA-based defence sector businesses with an active training contract commenced on or after 1 July 2025, employ an apprentice in an approved trade (MEM31922, MEM30219, UEE30820, or MEM31219), and be designated by Defence West as an approved defence or supply chain employer.

Joint Strike Fighter Industry Support Program Sustainment Grants
