Overview

Supports community-hosted activities and experiences that celebrate positive ageing in the City of Greater Geelong, such as workshops, dances, concerts, sporting activities, digital learning, art and craft and cultural experiences for people aged 55 and over. Activities must be available for free or at low cost to all participants. Total grant pool of $24,000 for 2026–27.

Eligibility Requirements

Must be organising an activity within the City of Greater Geelong municipal boundaries for people aged 55+. Activities must be free or low cost. Open to incorporated NFPs, unincorporated groups with an auspice, registered charities, and schools (non-curriculum activities). Maximum grant amount: $1,000. Activity delivery October 2026 – February 2027. Applications close 25 May 2026. Contact the grants team before applying.

Venue Hire Support Grant — City of Sydney

Assists community, cultural and environmental groups and organisations to access City of Sydney venues at reduced rates or at no charge. Support is available for both community venues and landmark venues (including Sydney Town Hall, Paddington Town Hall and Customs House). Available as one-off or multi-year (up to 3 years) reduced venue hire rates. Supports events, concerts, fundraisers, conferences, meetings and community gatherings. Not-for-profit organisations are also eligible for a 25% reduction on equipment hire fees at landmark venues.
