Overview

The Event Development stream supports proven regional tourism events with one-off annual grants of up to $50,000 to fund strategic growth initiatives that increase overnight visitation. Eligible initiatives include promotional activities, cooperative marketing, visitor research, infrastructure improvements, and consultancy services that demonstrate measurable outcomes for tourism development.

Eligibility Requirements

Events must be held in one of seven Destination Networks in Regional NSW, have previously received maximum funding through the Flagship Event stream, and present a strategy for future growth. Events must be established tourism events (not one-off, regular community events, or touring events) with demonstrated overnight visitor impact.
