Overview

The NSW Family Energy Rebate helps people with dependent children pay their electricity bills. Retail (on-market) customers can receive a lump-sum rebate credited to their energy bill to assist with electricity costs.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must live in NSW, have an electricity account for their home in their name, have received the Family Tax Benefit in the 2024–25 financial year, have lodged their tax return with the ATO, and have finalised their Family Tax Benefit entitlement with Centrelink.

If assessed as eligible, the energy provider will apply EAPA directly to the customer's energy account.
