Training Grants in Australia (All States) — 2026

This grant supports the delivery of vocational education and training in remote community clusters in Central Australia from June 2026 to 30 June 2028. Funding is provided for capital assets or improvements, remote training hub coordination and mentoring, and participant transport. Round 2 is open exclusively to the Iyarrka community cluster.

The Launch into Work program supports businesses in delivering pre-employment projects that prepare eligible individuals for entry-level roles. Projects include training, practical workplace activities, and mentoring to equip participants with the skills and confidence needed for employment.

This program helps new and existing small businesses in Tasmania build their skills and grow through workshops, training, and support. Support includes initial information sessions, capacity building workshops, professional development, personalised coaching, and small business grants.

This program provides fee-free apprenticeship and trainee qualification training to Queensland businesses employing apprentices or trainees under 25 years old in priority skill areas. Businesses benefit from fully trained employees learning on the job while upskilling their workforce with tailored courses.

Funding available to rural and regional South Australian businesses to cover travel and accommodation costs associated with hiring and training apprentices or trainees. Allowances cover intrastate travel at 30c per kilometre, interstate travel at economy airfare rates, and daily accommodation costs ranging from $60 (intrastate) to $110 (interstate).

This program provides fee-free accredited training to eligible participants in Brisbane and Moreton Bay through the Australian Government's Self-Employment Assistance program. Participants can access business skills courses including Certificate IV in Entrepreneurship and New Business, Certificate III in Entrepreneurship and New Business, and Micro Business Skill Set, along with exclusive video insights and small group mentoring.

This program provides support to individuals interested in starting their own business or who need help to refocus an existing small business. Services include exploring self-employment workshops, business plan development, free accredited small business training, business advice sessions, business health checks, and small business coaching.

A payroll tax rebate available for NSW employers who employ apprentices and new entrant trainees. The rebate works as a payroll tax offset based on wages paid to eligible apprentices and trainees, and can be claimed monthly or annually as part of payroll tax returns.

A payroll tax rebate available to Queensland employers who employ apprentices and/or trainees. The rebate reduces payroll tax liability on wages paid to eligible apprentices and trainees, with a 50% rebate available for each financial year from 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2026.

This program funds NSW organisations to implement tailored projects that connect women in small business or looking to start or grow a small or micro business with the right resources and support. Funding supports projects delivering training, mentoring, networking skills and opportunities, assistance to access finance and business development support tailored to nominated Women NSW focus communities.
